The deadline for submission to the Photo Contest and Exhibition is right around the corner.. The contest is being presented by the Louisiana Community Betterment committee and sponsored by Able Oil and Bank of Louisiana. The exhibition will be held at the Twin Pike YMCA beginning at 5:00 p.m. and run until 8:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in entering the contest needs to have their photo appropriately represent the town of Louisiana, Missouri. Person, places or things that demonstrate the character, institutions, traditions and lifestyle of the town will be accepted. Any photo taken by entrants since January, 2010 is eligible for entry.
Participation is encouraged by photographers of any age and all levels of competency whether they be amateur or professional. Participants may submit up to two photographs at the entry fee of $5.00. Each additional photo entry will require an entry fee of $5.00 each. Only the judges of the contest are deemed ineligible.
All photographers have the option of selling their photos during the exhibition at the YMCA on February 27th. Any photo that is purchased will include a 10% seller fee that will be collected by Louisiana Community Betterment. All entrants must agree to allow “Free Use Of” photos submitted to be reproduced for promotion of Louisiana via publications, newspapers, online or in any advertising that promotes Louisiana, Missouri.

All photo entries must be received no later than February 23, 2016 in the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce office, 221 Mansion St., Louisiana, MO. 63353. The Chamber office will be closed on Thursday, February 24th, so please be sure to get your entries in on time.
