A jury trial is to begin on August 29th of next year in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the widow of a Bowling Green man who died in a 2014 accident.
Staci Adam contends that a Wentzville school bus driver was on her cell phone and violated traffic laws when the bus and two motorcycles collided.
Adam’s husband, 43-year-old Matthew Adam of Bowling Green, died in the accident. Also killed was 22-year-old Warrenton man. Their motorcycles hit the driver’s side of the bus. A third motorcyclist struck debris from the accident, but was not injured.
The incident happened the morning of March 11th of 2014 near the school district’s transportation facility along Highway A in Wentzville.
The bus driver was identified as 52-year-old Pamela Love of Wright City. The lawsuit was filed in St. Charles County. Seven days have been set aside for the trial.
All persons charged are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
