The holidays can be a sad time for many people.
Three Bowling Green churches have gotten together to sponsor a Blue Christmas Service. The fourth annual event is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 17) in First Christian at 15 North High Street.
The service is open to all, but is especially designed to help people who are suffering from pain, loss and grief. Topics such as hope, promise and understanding will be addressed.
The pastors of First United Methodist and Church of the Nazarene will take part.
The event was started by First Christian’s pastor, Dawn Marie Turner, who grew up in her family’s funeral home and saw the heartache that many felt during the holiday season.
