Bowling Green gets in the Christmas spirit tonight.

Christmas in the Park starts at 4:30 p.m. at city park along South Court Street. There will be holiday lighting, music provided by a school choir and a chance for the kids to visit with Santa Claus.

 One new activity this year is the Holly Jolly 5K Run and Walk. A kids’ fun run for ages two to 11 starts at 5 p.m. Registration is 10 dollars, with participants receiving a Santa hat.

The adult run and walk starts at 5:30, with a 30-dollar fee and a commemorative T-shirt. An award will be presented for the ugliest holiday sweater.
