People who are homeless and those on the brink of it can find free help Tuesday, Oct. 20th.
Project Homeless Connect takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20th in the Mabee Sports Complex at Hannibal-LaGrange University.
The idea is to raise awareness about issues facing people who have no permanent address and offer assistance to those in need.
Free services include general physicals, dental, vision and hearing screenings, skin tests, women’s health exams, budget counseling and home ownership programs. Free transportation will be offered from five stops in Hannibal.
The North East Community Action Corporation and Douglass Community Services are sponsoring the event in conjunction with the Missouri Governor’s Committee to End Homelessness and regional partners.
