Wednesday’s high of 93 degrees in Pike County Missouri came close to tying a record that’s stood for more than a half-century.
The highest temperature for June 10th was 94 degrees, set in 1963. The highest reading for the month was 104 degrees on June 24th of 1988.
Another hot day is forecast for Thursday, but it shouldn’t approach the June 11th record of 96 degrees, which has also stood for 52 years.
Milder temperatures and storms are predicted for Friday through the weekend.
