Motorists will pay more at pump this Memorial Day Weekend, but not as much as last year.
Gasoline prices in Missouri have gone up 25 cents or more in recent weeks. A gallon of unleaded on Thursday was priced at a high of $3.09 in Alorton. The lowest price was $1.99 in Mineral Point.
In Illinois, Colterville had the lowest price Thursday at $2.39. The highest price was $3.49 in Palatine.
Across the nation, the average price was $2.74 a gallon. Despite the increases, filling up the tank costs 25 percent less than it did at this time last year.
