The Bowling Green Municipal Pool is extending its hours this season.

Swimming at the facility in City Park gets under way Saturday, May 23rd. The pool will be open seven days a week this year and will be operated once again by the Twin Pike Family YMCA. Last year, it was closed on Mondays.

Operating hours are noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Day passes range from $2.00 to $4.00. Monthly passes are $24.00 for individuals and $48.00 for families. Season passes also are available.

Meanwhile, the YMCA will not operate the Louisiana pool in Veterans Park this year because a contract was not reached. However, the Y is nearing completion of its multi-million dollar aquatics center on Kelly Lane. The target date for opening is July 1.
