The Louisiana Economic Development committee is sponsoring a Job Fair on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.  The Job Fair will take place at the American Legion Hall on Kelly Lane in Louisiana, MO.  The hours for the Job Fair are 9:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. 

This event is free to all employers, job placement entities and to all job seekers.  Anyone interested in setting up a table to distribute their information, take applications and or resumes from attendees, is asked to please contact Cindy Blaylock at 573-754-2109.  Job seekers do not need to register.  Simply attend the day of the event. 

NECAC representatives will be on hand to lend resume writing assistance to anyone wishing to utilize their knowledge and expertise.  New to the event this year will be sessions on “Dress For Success” sponsored by Design by Consign of Louisiana, Missouri.  Design by Consign will have representatives and samples available to demonstrate and help interested parties create just the look they need to land that position!

It is recommended that job seekers who have a prepared resume bring it with them the day of the Job Fair.  Job seekers should also be dressed appropriately to meet employers and possibly interview for job openings as some employers do initial interviews on site. 

“This is a great opportunity for Employers!  I would encourage participation even if you have no immediate openings.  As employers, we simply have no way of knowing what the future brings and having a funnel of good resumes can be a great time saver if and when an opening does come up,” said Cindy Blaylock, Chairperson of the event.  “The LEDC held this event last year and it was such a success we had many employers ask for us to hold it again this year. There were a total of 18 employers and over 80 job seekers who attended last year’s event.”
