Funeral services are Tuesday for the late Louisiana Police Chief Rich Hughes.
The services will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Louisiana. Burial will be in Hazelwood.
The 43-year-old Hughes was found dead in his home on July 2nd. Foul play is not suspected. An autopsy was performed and an investigation has been launched.
Hughes was a graduate of Pittsfield Illinois High School and an Air Force veteran of Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.
The city has not set a timeline for finding a replacement. Detective April Epperson is serving as interim chief and the Pike County Sheriff’s Department is assisting with calls and patrols.
