Transportation priorities for Northeast Missouri will be outlined at a Wednesday (June 25) meeting in Pike County.
It’s from 4 to 6 p.m. at Louisiana City Hall. A replacement for the Champ Clark Bridge is on the list of projects that would likely be funded if voters approve a statewide sales tax.
The public has a chance to comment on the list through July 3rd. It includes almost 125 projects in 17 Missouri counties.
The new Louisiana bridge would cost an estimated 60 million dollars, with Missouri and Illinois splitting the cost.
There also would be funding for purchase or lease of land for the Pike/Lincoln County Port Authority and work on Highway 79.
Voters will consider the sales tax hike on August 5th.
