More than 30 volunteers will collect money Friday and Saturday (June 20 and 21) to help pay for Louisiana’s Fourth of July celebration.
Contributions will be sought from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Third and Georgia streets in the downtown.
There is no specific goal, but all proceeds will be used to pay for the annual fireworks display, which attracts hundreds of people to the riverfront.
