Bowling Green will kick off the holiday season tonight with the Christmas Lighting Ceremony and visit by Santa Claus.

The festivities get under way at 4:30 p.m. in City Park along South Court Street.

Bands and choirs from the high school and middle school will entertain. Saint Nick will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage and listen to wish lists at the decorated Santa House.

The youth group of Bowling Green First Presbyterian Church will serve cookies and hot chocolate. The event is sponsored by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce.
