Pike County Memorial Hospital has earned a top national honor.

The Louisiana facility has been accredited by the not-for-profit Joint
Commission of suburban Chicago. The certification recognizes the
hospital’s quality in meeting health care standards
for patients.

The honor followed an unannounced on-site survey last November.

Accreditation
is a voluntary designation that the commission awards to a variety of
health care organizations around the nation.
