Candidates’ Forum is tonight in Louisiana at the Elks Lodge, 120 N. Fifth Street, Louisiana, MO, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
It's time to interview candidates from 6:30 to 7 p.m. or during a special media break at 7:30 p.m.
Candidates from the following races have agreed to participate:
*40th District State Representative: Democrat Paul Quinn of Monroe City and Republican Jim Hansen of Frankford. No incumbent because district was created after 2010 census from old Ninth and 10th State Rep. districts.
*45th Judicial Circuit Judge (covering Pike and Lincoln counties): Democrat Ben Burkemper and Republican Chris Kunza Mennemeyer, both of Troy. No incumbent because Dan Dildine is retiring.
*Pike County Sheriff: Incumbent Republican Stephen Korte and Democrat Lynn Turner Jr., both of Bowling Green.
*Pike County Eastern District Commissioner: Incumbent Democrat Curt Mitchell of Clarksville, Republican Walter Logan of Louisiana and Independent Don Gerken Jr. of Eolia.
*Pike County Western District Commissioner: Republican Gale Griffith-Frolos of Frankford and Democrat Jim Lubrecht of Bowling Green. Imcumbent Demoract Roy Sisson, Jr. sought another office.
*Pike County Assessor: Incumbent Democrat Donna Prior of Bowling Green. (Republican Leo Brueggen of Middletown has declined to participate).
*Pike County Public Administrator: Incumbent Democrat Nina Long and Republican Brad Hufty, both of Bowling Green.
