The 2012 Pike County Missouri Fair has announced their entertainment line-up. Opening up the show this year will Pike County's own Bill Whyte and the Australian sister group The McClymonts. Headlining this year is country legend Tracy Lawrence.
Lawrence has put over 20 songs in the top 10 throughout his career with some of his biggest hits being "Time Marches On," "Alibis," "If The Good Die Young," "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" and "Sticks and Stones." He hit the scene in 1991 and his very first release, "Sticks and Stones," went all the way to number one in November of that year. From there he put 18 straight singles in the top 10. Although he's been labeled as one of country's bad boys, Lawrence recently went back in the studio to work on a new album and is putting together his own recording company.
Since joining forces five years ago, Brooke, Samantha and Mollie McClymont have taken the country music world by storm. With their exquisite three-part harmonies, soaring vocals and stunning onstage presence, it’s not surprising that The McClymonts have become the hottest recording and touring act in Australian country music and are fast becoming the talk of the industry in the U.S.
2010 was an amazing year for The McClymonts. In January, they released their sophomore album, Wrapped Up Good, in Australia, achieved Gold sales in ten weeks, and entered the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Top 100 Chart at #2 behind Susan Boyle, and #1 on the ARIA Country Chart. The first four singles from the album, “Kick It Up,” “Wrapped Up Good,” “Hearts on Fire,” and “A Women Is A Flame,” all went to #1 on the Country Music Charts in Australia
