The Clopton Lady Hawks to their second consectutive district softball title over Silex with a 5-0 win Friday night. Kelsea Dorsey was the winning pitcher going all seven innings, handing out 14 strikeouts, no walks and only allowing three hits. On the offensive side of the ball she went yard twice, both scoring two runs.
Sophomore Natalie Fleming of the Lady Owls went the entire seven innings from the mound, she ended the night with two strikeouts, no walks and five runs were scored off of six hits. She also was on base three times on the night.
The Lady Hawks will next face the district nine winner Harrisburg, who beat Sturgeon 10-6, on Wednesday night.
