The 26th annual Louisiana Country Colorfest is just around the corner on Oct. 16-17 and the fun and entertainment is being finalized.
The public is urged to visit the Colorfest website which includes a complete schedule of events and entry forms for the various contests to be held that weekend. Visit www.louisianacolorfest.com and check out what organizers have in store this year. Folks can also receive updates on Facebook.
Main stage entertainment will include the pageants, awards presentations, and performances by the Louisiana High School choir, and local band Mississippi Mud on Saturday. On Sunday, the Johnny and June Tribute Show will be held along with a performance by Howard Street Dance, the baby show and the “So You Think You Can Sing” competition.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the kids, too. While there isn’t a carnival this year, the Louisiana Bullpup Booster Club is sponsoring activities in the Mercantile Bank parking lot.
Several downtown Louisiana businesses will be keeping their doors open for the festival and the streets are always lined with vendors. Find more details at www.louisianacolorfest.com.
