With the upcoming summer months approaching, Pike County, Mo Sheriff
Stephen Kortes reminds citizens that many farmers will be utilizing, both State
lettered Highways and County Roads, throughout the Pike County
area. The summer tends to bring out more travelers, and due to the detour along
Highway 79 some limited use lettered highways like, Route B in Frankford, have
seen a large increase in traffic. With large farm equipment traveling from
field to field this increase in traffic has a potential for motor vehicle
accidents to occur. Sheriff Korte asks
that all drivers use extra caution when traveling State Lettered Highways and
County Roads in an effort to reduce all traffic accidents within our area.
“Together we can all make a difference.” Stephen W. Korte
