Brett Butler, Senior at Bowling Green High School, has officially signed his letter of intent to attend Western Colorado State College. Brett will be competing on the Western track and cross country teams starting in the fall of 2010. Western Colorado competes on the NCAA Division II level in all athletic events. “Western Colorado is one of the best NCAA Division II cross country programs in the country. They have finished 2nd at the NCAA Division II National Championships the last two years. This is a great opportunity for Brett to learn a new system and gives him the chance to train with some very talented distance runners every day. I really believe that his best days of running are still ahead of him.” – Coach Chance
Brett has had a tremendous career while running track and cross country for the Bobcats during the last 4 years. Brett is a 4-year letter winner in cross country and 3 year letter winner in track. He earned all conference and all district honors all four years in cross country. Brett was a major factor in the Bobcats 2009 state cross country championship and has been a part of 4 conference and district championships in cross country. “Brett is one of the most dedicated distance runners I have ever coached. His work ethic and dedication to our cross country and track programs will always be remembered. He has also been a tremendous leader and mentor to our younger cross country athletes.”
