LOUISIANA, Mo. — An investigation is ongoing and charges are pending related to a search warrant that was served at KC’s Place Restaurant and Next Door bar on Friday, May 21.
Louisiana officers arrived during business operations and cleared patrons from the establishment on Friday evening prior to carrying out the search warrant.
Cameras, security systems, cell phones, and other electronic media were seized as possible evidence as law enforcement executed the warrant. According to a press release by Louisiana Police Chief William Jones, the Department of Homeland Security provided credible information of devices being used in a criminal manner in the business establishment.
A second search warrant in connection to the case was also carried out at a private residence near Louisiana by members of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department with assistance from the Louisiana Police Department. Among the items seized were more electronic media devices, concentrated marijuana extract, marijuana edibles, mature marijuana plants, felony amounts of processed marijuana and paraphernalia related to a marijuana grow operation.
The investigation is still underway and at this time no names or charges are officially being released. KC’s Place reopened for business on Saturday.
