This year’s featured speaker was Deb Brown with “Save Your Town.” Deb is a nationally recognized speaker with years of experience in helping small towns to revitalize. Brown has unique advice and success stories of towns utilizing her concepts and learning how to work with the “Committee of Negativity.” She brings ideas on how to recharge you with the energy you need to create the kind of small town that you want and gives creative and affordable concepts that revitalize your community.
Diana Huckstep, Chairperson for the Louisiana Community Betterment Association was in attendance at this years’ summit. Huckstep met Brown three years ago when Brown was the featured speaker at the Missouri Community Betterment Organization Conference in Columbia. Brown and Huckstep have become great friends and Huckstep have sought the advice of Brown on several occasions. Huckstep is continually involved in the Louisiana Community to help with Economic Development and seeking ways to help with the betterment of the community as a whole.
