LOUSIANA, Mo. — Due to the weather conditions and some apprehension over being out in public just yet, the decision has been made by the Louisiana Community Betterment Farmers Market to postpone the opening of the LCBA Farmers Market. Opening day will now be Wednesday, May 27th at 3:00 pm. "We were certainly hoping that the earlier date would work, but with so many vendors not having product coming in yet, we felt it best to postpone for a few weeks. We are looking forward to opening the Market when the time is right," said Diana Huckstep, Market Manager.
Market hours will remain the same, Wednesdays, 3:00 until 6:00 p.m., weather permitting. "We had a few bumpy operating days last year due to storms, but we were always able to open and continue the Market once they blew through," said Ms. Huckstep, Market Manager. "Bringing fresh produce to our neighbors is a priority and the Market is always a great community activity. The vendors are all looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the Market on May 27th!" said Ms. Huckstep.
