You are invited to a “Movie Afternoon” to watch End of the Spear on July 24th at 1:30 to 4:40 pm in the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.  This is a story about the first outside contact made by missionaries to the Waorani Tribe then known as the Auca or “Savages” by other tribes.  Karen Duffy, minister at First Christian Church, prepares to return to serve the Waorani people in the Ecuadorian rainforest. It is a story of Truth, Love and Forgiveness! A Question and answer period will follow. There is be a Waorani cultural display set up including the traditional spears.
