Warrant issued for former Bowling Green Police Chief

PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — A warrant was issued this Friday for the arrest of former Bowling Green Police Chief Ty Bounds, who has been charged with several offenses stemming from incidents alleged between February and March of 2025, as well as additional charges filed in December of this year. Charges include two felonies, disarming a police officer while performing official duties and 1st degree harassment, and numerous misdemeanors to include assault, making a false report, making a false declaration, and making a false affidavit to mislead a public servant. The arrest warrant was filed in the 45th Judicial Circuit Court of Pike County following an investigation by the Missouri Highway Patrol and Missouri Attorney General. A $50,000 cash-only bond has been set.
