KJFM SPORTS — The Louisiana Bulldog baseball team is searching for their first win of the season. They are hoping to grab that W when facing EMO conference team, the Clopton Hawks.
The Bulldogs were on top this past Friday when they were facing the Pleasant Hill/Western Wild Wolves. The game was postponed in the bottom of the 2nd inning due to inclement weather. The Bulldogs were leading 5-0. The date to finish the game is still being determined.
The Bulldogs also had dramatic losses against the Bowling Green Bobcats last Thursday, 9-0, and a loss against Wellsville, 2-0, on Monday night. The Bulldogs are spending every day practicing and trying to improve on what they can, to get that first win. Seniors Jack Logan, Syler Feldewerth, and Brady Fisher are hoping to improve on the mound and get a win for the Bulldogs.
The Clopton Hawks are starting off the season so far with a 1-2 record. The Bulldogs are hoping to make a dent in the score and get a win over the Hawks. The Hawks are scoring a total of three runs per game compared to the ‘Dawgs who score an average of two runs. The Bulldogs had huge wins the past two seasons against the Clopton Hawks. In the 2022 season, 9-0, and in the 2021 season, 11-1. They are hoping to keep that winning streak going strong.
