PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — The Pike County Missouri Fair opened Saturday with the cattle show in the livestock barn and the Eastern Missouri Truck and Local Farm Tractor pull. The Saturday night event was an expansion of the normal five day event of years past. In the livestock barn the cattle show was held where youth from around the county, and even some outside the county, showed for a chance to to move on to the Sale of Champions on Thursday. Below, the Lockard sisters, Calynn, Carlyn and Caragan, set their cattle for show. Above, Todd Crane of Bowling Green, pulls his Dodge down the track during the first of two truck and tractor pulls at this year’s fair.
